Dr. Kavita Mehra is a board-certified family medicine physician who proudly serves her community with a focus on culturally compassionate, whole-person care. Born and raised in Artesia, California, Dr. Mehra grew up immersed in the vibrant South Asian community, which deeply shaped her passion for community-centered healthcare. She earned both her undergraduate and medical degrees from UCLA, where she cultivated her interest in preventive care, health equity, and serving immigrant families. Dr. Mehra completed her family medicine residency at UCLA Health and has since worked in both community clinics and private practice settings across Southern California. Her clinical interests include chronic disease management, women’s health, and adolescent medicine, with a strong focus on addressing the unique health needs of South Asian populations. Fluent in Hindi and conversational in Gujarati, Dr. Mehra is committed to creating safe, affirming spaces for patients of all backgrounds. She believes in listening first, honoring cultural context, and empowering families with the tools they need to thrive at every life stage. When she’s not seeing patients, Dr. Mehra enjoys dancing to Bollywood classics, experimenting with vegetarian recipes, and spending time with her large extended family in Artesia.
