I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who is passionate about creating a space where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported. As a Punjabi Sikh Canadian woman now living in Illinois, I understand the complexities of navigating cultural expectations, multiple identities, and life transitions, and I bring cultural humility, empathy, and genuine curiosity into my work. Before becoming a counselor, I worked as a correctional officer, where I gained firsthand experience supporting people through some of life's most difficult moments. This experience deepened my understanding of resilience and reinforced my belief that people are far more than their struggles and deserve compassion rather than judgment. I am passionate about helping clients better understand themselves, recognize their inner strengths, and feel empowered to create meaningful change. Clients often tell me they can feel how much I genuinely care, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside them through their journey. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, identity exploration, self-esteem challenges, and difficulties related to self-worth and confidence. I am passionate about helping clients develop greater self-understanding, build self-compassion, strengthen their relationships, and navigate life with greater clarity and confidence. Adolescents and young adults hold a special place in my heart because figuring out who you are, where you’re going, and how you fit into the world can be both exciting and challenging. I enjoy supporting clients through these transitions while helping them recognize and build on their own strengths.
