Amrita Kataria is a licensed therapist, speaker, and founder of Her Cultural Path, a telehealth practice in California and Florida rooted in supporting South Asian individuals and couples as they navigate identity, relationships, and the complex expectations that come with balancing self-identity and culture. Her work focuses on helping South Asian women who feel caught between cultural duty and personal growth—those who struggle to define themselves outside of family expectations, generational pressures, and societal “shoulds.” Amrita helps clients rediscover their sense of identity, clarify their values, and learn how to set compassionate yet firm boundaries. With South Asian couples, she provides a space to strengthen communication, address cultural and familial influences, and create shared meaning in their partnership while honoring both tradition and individuality. Drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Amrita’s approach blends cultural understanding with practical tools for emotional regulation, confidence building, and authentic decision- making. Her goal is to help clients move from self-doubt and guilt to alignment, clarity, and emotional freedom. Amrita’s philosophy centers on meaningful growth, authenticity, and self-compassion. Whether working one-on-one, with couples, or with organizations, she is passionate about creating spaces where South Asian voices feel seen, validated, and empowered to define success and well-being on their own terms.
